Park Hyatt Washington, DC – Understated Luxury in The Heart of the US Capital

Park Hyatt DC Hotel

The Park Hyatt, Washington DC is by far our favorite hotel in Washington, DC. It actually started our love for the Park Hyatt hotels many years ago, as it was the first Park Hyatt we ever visited. Situated in the upscale West End neighborhood, this luxury hotel is just moments away from the White House, Dupont Circle, Georgetown, and the vibrant culture, history, and attractions that define Washington, D.C.

The Park Hyatt Washington, DC has been our favorite hotel while in the US capital for many years and it has never disappointed us. The minimalistic architecture and decorations, the extremely comfortable rooms and suites, the excellent onsite restaurant and bar and the welcoming staff have made this hotel a top choice for us. ❤️

At the Park Hyatt, Washington DC, you’ll find exceptional comfort. Across multiple visits, we’ve had the pleasure of experiencing various rooms and suites, all exquisitely furnished and spacious, ensuring a truly comfortable stay. The bedding is top-notch, bath towels are luxuriously soft and absorbent, and plush robes and slippers are thoughtfully provided. Each room and suite boast a spa-inspired limestone bath and a comprehensive selection of amenities.

Dining options

The award-winning Blue Duck Tavern is a one Michelin star restaurant which boasts an open kitchen and really deep wine cellar. It serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and all the food we have tried has been of the highest quality. The restaurant uses locally sourced ingredients, and the presentation of each dish is beautiful. In the evening, guests can explore a tasting menu, which we highly recommend. Be sure to grab a reservation for dinner as the restaurant is often completely booked. ❤️

For a more casual yet equally tasty experience, try the Blue Duck Tavern lounge. Explore the large selection of handcrafted cocktails and the extensive wine list, while enjoying bites from the Blue Duck restaurant. If you have a large party, book one of the chic glass-enclosed tables for a special experience in a unique setting. ❤️

The Tea Cellar is another unique and super special experience. From 4pm to midnight daily, you can explore a large selection of teas prepared to perfection. If you are a tea drinker, be sure to try this at least once during your stay. ❤️

The hotel offers a 24-hour Fitness Center, which is somewhat small, but perfect for workouts away from home. We love how the machines overlook the tree-lined DC streets. Of note is that there are two Peloton® bikes and some good quality cardio machines.
