The Park Hyatt Vienna is a hotel we keep returning to time after time. Located in the heart of Vienna’s historic center, the Park Hyatt feels both secluded and in the center of this magnificent city. The hotel is located inside the restored vault of a former bank building and is just spectacular. We have fully enjoyed our multiple stays at this hotel, as it provides the perfect place to explore the beautiful city of Vienna.
Below you will find our unbiased account of what staying at the Park Hyatt Vienna is like, as well as tips on where to go and what to do if you choose to stay at this hotel.
Park Hyatt Vienna hotel facts
The Park Hyatt Vienna is located at Am Hof 2, 1010 Wien, Austria. The hotel overlooks the historic Am Hof square, which used to be a part of the imperial court. Nowadays, Am Hof often hosts events, markets, and other cultural activities.
The hotel offers:
- 146 super luxurious guestrooms, including 42 suites
- marble bathrooms with separate bathtubs, heated floors, and spacious and very comfortable showers
- each room/suite uses elements of wood and marble, as well as unique mother-of-pearl elements that make the rooms really beautiful

- guests can also enjoy a variety of treatments at the beautiful Arany Spa
- the hotel includes an indoor pool, steam rooms, and a 24-hour gym with TechnoGym equipment
- a full service hair salon, the Rossano Ferretti Hairspa, is also available onsite Tuesday – Saturday
- the interiors of the building are well preserved and beautifully enhanced by stunning design choices (the large chandeliers are 🤩)
Checking in/out of the Park Hyatt Vienna
Check-in is 3pm and check-out is 12pm, which is a bit later than many hotels. If you arrive early the hotel will store your bags at a minimum and will also accommodate you if your room is not available. Additionally, if you are a World of Hyatt program member, you can request a late check out. Becoming a World of Hyatt program member is free, and it provides great program loyalty perks – early check-in, late check-out, free breakfast (at the Globalist level) and more. We highly recommend it.
Rooms and suites
The rooms and suites at the Park Hyatt Vienna (we have stayed in both) are beautifully decorated, providing all modern amenities you can possibly need. The bedding, towels and bathrobes were of the highest quality. Individual slippers were provided for each guest. The rooms are much more specious that one expects, including separate sitting and writing areas. The bathrooms were super spacious, and each includes heated floors 🤩. Additionally, a coffee machine provided in each room was a great and convenient option for an early morning coffee.
The Park Hyatt Vienna effortlessly combines comfort, style, and thoughtful details, ensuring an unforgettable stay.
Dining options
- The Bank Brasserie & Bar – this restaurant sits in the middle of the ground floor and is absolutely stunning. It offers an elaborate buffet breakfast and à la carte lunch and dinner. The open kitchen allows diners to observe the chefs as they prepare each dish. The food was really fresh and tasty. Reservations for dinner are recommended and you can grab yours here.
- The Lounge is a smaller and cozier restaurant. It offers breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as afternoon tea and pastries.
- Café Am Hof is truly a hidden gem – never too busy but full of excellent pastries and modern patisserie options. You can also enjoy lunch at this beautiful cafe.
- Room service – the hotel offers a full 24-hour room service menu. However, with all the great food options in Vienna, we have never ordered room service.
Other amenities
- Where gold and valuable were once stored, nowadays you can enjoy a relaxing and rejuvenating spa experience. The Arany Spa is open daily from 11am to 6pm. It offers massages, facials, and a variety of body treatments. The spa uses products from two different lines – Omorovicza and SkinCeuticals (a personal favorite ❤️). The Arany Spa is the perfect place to relax after a long day of exploring Vienna.
- Also on the premises of Arany Spa, guests can enjoy a 24-hour gym outfitted with Techno Gym equipment. Personal trainers are also available and can be booked for one-on-one sessions.
- Guests can further relax in the 15-meter swimming pool, use the on-premises sauna, and aroma steam room, as well as the vitality showers.
